I am the Creative Director for Cliché Records, which means that I deal with all the visual identity of the brands from flyers, to videos, to promotional, items ect… To give you a bit of a background about Cliché: we’ve been opened for almost 2 years now, we have three “hats”, we are a Booking Agency for the whole of Asia, a Records Label and finally Event Promoters. We basically bring international artists such as Breakbot, College, Classixx, Aeroplane, The Magician, LNTG, Bicep (and many more) and have them do tours in Asia to places like Taiwan, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai… On the other side, I work with Cliché as a DJ / producer, making music and representing the company with DJ residencies at W Hotel, Le Boudoir, Drop, Socialito…
What is it that you prefer about your current occupation?
I would say, definitely all the amazing people I meet, all the great artists that I get to greet into Hong Kong, all the stories they have about their life. That's number one, then I would say the crowd interaction when I play, nothing is comparable, this feeling of communicating through music, no words but melodies, the adrenaline it give me is incomparable, I could play for hours if the crowd is motivated to dance with me! There are plenty more great sides about my occupation such as traveling, the schedule ect... but this is truly what keeps me going.
